Slight Beneficial for Cardiac Exercise Equipment
So sports Miracle Drug for Cancer Patients
Although still difficult to cure, but the sport can be a wonder drug for patients to beat cancer and even reduce the risk of disease coming back.
Research shows that exercise can reduce the risk of death from cancer and minimize side effects of treatment.
Macmillan Cancer Support research results found that breast cancer patients who exercise 150 minutes a week had a 40 percent lower chance for the risk of death and disease recurrence, compared to cancer patients that move less than 1 hour per week.
Colon cancer patients may also reduce the risk of recurrence of 50 percent with six hours of physical activity per week, whereas patients with prostate cancer have 30 percent lower risk of dying from the disease if doing exercise 3 hours a week.
The research received support from the UK Department of Health recommends that all patients receiving cancer treatment must be told to do at least 2.5 hours (150 minutes) of physical exercise each week.
But an alarming, only about 40 percent of physicians and oncology nurses are aware of these recommendations and more than half of cancer patients not told about the benefits of exercise for disease.
"It's important when physical activity services are available and 'recipes' for all patients who would be shocked if they knew how much the benefits of physical activity on health and long-term recovery," said Ciaran Devane, CEO of Macmillan, as reported by Mirror.co.uk, Monday (08/08/2011).
According to him, exercise for cancer patients do not need to be too heavy. Gardening, a walk in the morning, brisk walking or swimming can be a useful exercise for cancer patients.
In addition to reducing the risk of disease recurrence and death from cancer, do sports during the treatment phase also has positive effects on mood, anxiety, depression, fatigue, impaired mobility and change in weight

Music Therapy Can Help Overcome Cancer Complaints
Listening to music can relieve stress and increase tolerance to pain. For patients with cancer, music therapy proven to improve the quality of life but not cure the disease directly.
U.S. scientists revealed that after reviewing 30 previous studies, which involved no less than 2,000 cancer patients. Some of the participants undergoing cancer therapy as usual, while the rest were given additional music therapy.
Compared to participants who undergo standard therapy, participants who received additional music therapy decreased anxiety levels anksietas or clinical. Also observed improved mood, but the level of depression was less affected.
The fall in the level of anxiety to make the participants who received music therapy are better able to tolerate pain. As a result the main therapy daily, the participants are much less feel the complaints related to cancer.
"These findings imply that the music intervention as useful as a complementary therapy (additional) others, especially for people with cancer," said Dr. Joke Bradt from Drexel University who did the study, as quoted from Ninemsn, Wednesday (10/08/2011).
Previously, various studies have also proved that music can relieve pain in conditions other than cancer for example in patients with back pain. In patients who listened to music for 20 minutes / day, back pain can be reduced to 20 percent.
Another benefit of music therapy accelerates wound healing after surgery. Research conducted at Barts and The London NHS Trust proves, the music makes the patient's heart rhythm is more stable so it supports the body's natural processes in the wound on the body surface

Music Main Prevent Early Aging Due Deaf
The benefits of playing music for health has been widely expressed by scientists. In addition to delaying dementia and motor nerve repair in people with Parkinson's, music can also prevent the onset of hearing problems in older people.
The earlier starting the game music, the greater the benefits to the ear and the auditory system. Research at Baycrest's Rotman Research Institute showed that, someone who started learning to play musical instruments since the age of 16 years could delay the hearing due to the aging process by up to 20 years.
"We found that being a musician from an early age can maintain the ability of auditory (hearing) of the damage associated with the aging process," Rich ungkapBenjamin Zendel who led the study, as quoted from Dailymail, Wednesday (08/14/2011).
In his research, involving 74 people Zendel musicians and 89 people with no knowledge of musical instruments. Participants are categorized as a musician has to learn to play musical instruments criterion since the age of 16 years and is still keen to play music when the research took place.
By scientists, all participants are placed in a soundproof room to avoid interference from a noisy environment and could interfere with observations. After that, the scientists play certain sounds and then give an assessment.
The results showed that participants of a group of musicians still capable of listening carefully to the age of 70 years. Ability is equivalent to the group of participants with no knowledge of music at the age of 50 years, so the music can be concluded memunda deaf up to 20 years.
But keep in mind also that sometimes playing music actually can trigger hearing loss. Guitarist of British band The Who, Pete Townshend is currently experiencing partially deaf and is strongly suspected trigger is the sound of his own guitar.
Among musicians, the sound is too loud and continuous is the biggest triggers of tinnitus or hearing loss, especially berdengin ear. Therefore if you want to get the benefits of playing music, make sure the sound was not too hard and there is enough time for the ear to rest.
Wow! Can Sperm Embryos Created from Women
The couple homosexual women (lesbians) usually have to get donor sperm in order to have a child. Now scientists are developing sperm cells from female embryos, so that lesbian couples can have their own biological children.
Previously, scientists in Britain have successfully created primitive sperm cells from bone marrow cells of men. Now the latest study, scientists returned to repeat the feat by making the sperm cells from female embryonic stem cells.
With the results of this study allow lesbian couples to have children one day, ie by dividing the gene into sperm created from bone marrow of one woman, who can then be used to fertilize the egg from her partner.
Men and women differ because of sex chromosomes. Male and female chromosome X, - XX female and XY male - but only men have the Y chromosome that carries several genes that are considered essential to make sperm, giving rise to skepticism in the presence of female stem cell news which can be used to make sperm.
In April 2010, Prof Karim Nayernia, a professor of Stem Cell Biology at Newcastle University, has made headlines by taking stem cells (stem cells) from adult male and make it develop into primitive sperm.
Now he has managed to repeat the feat by creating the primitive sperm cells with female embryonic stem cells in an unpublished work, as reported by the Telegraph, Tuesday (13/09/2011).
The next step is to create primitive sperm had miosis, so having the right amount of genetic material for fertilization or conception.
Prof Nayernia showed the potential of this method in 2006, when he used sperm derived from embryonic stem cells to fertilize the male mice to produce seven pups, six of them can live to adulthood. He is now optimistic about prospects for the study of sperm from female embria this.
"I think, in principle, it is scientifically possible," said Prof Karim Nayernia, as reported by New Scientist.
He said had received approval from the university's ethical to use stem cells from female bone marrow to start the experiment make sperm from female embryos.
